Floor Scrubbing & Acid Washing Sunshine Coast
Sand is abrasive, and on the Sunshine Coast it never stops arriving. Concrete from Caloundra up to Noosa carries a constant film of fine sand and salt that grinds into the surface under foot and tyre traffic until the slab looks permanently grey. Add commercial kitchens behind the cafés at Mooloolaba and Noosaville, pool surrounds at holiday homes, and garages at properties that sit shut for months and then get used hard for a fortnight, and most of what we scrub up here is a reset rather than a routine clean.
Mon to Sun, 7:00am – 9:00pm — weekends included at no extra charge

What we get called out for in Sunshine Coast
- Garage and carport slabs at holiday homes and short-stay properties, reset between seasons rather than maintained monthly
- Café and restaurant kitchen floors through Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Noosaville, degreased between service or overnight
- Fine sand and salt ground into pool surrounds, entertaining areas and driveways at coastal properties
The method itself is the same wherever we take it — the full floor scrubbing & acid washing process is set out on the service page, and everything we cover in this region is on the Sunshine Coast page.

Floor Scrubbing & Acid Washing in Sunshine Coast — your questions
Anything not covered here, message us and we’ll answer in plain English.
Ask on WhatsAppOur holiday house has been shut up all winter and the garage floor is green. Is that mould?
Almost certainly, and it is the standard Sunshine Coast off-season problem — a closed building with no airflow and coastal humidity is ideal for it. It comes off, but we treat it biologically first so it is killed at the root rather than just washed off the top, otherwise it is back within a couple of months of the house being closed again.
Can you do a café kitchen without closing us for the day?
Yes. Kitchen floors are done overnight or between service, and we hand the floor back dry and ready for the morning. Degreasing a commercial kitchen slab properly needs dwell time on the chemical, which is another reason it suits an after-hours slot rather than a gap in the middle of a trading day.
Will acid washing damage my concrete?
Not at the right dilution, and that is the whole job. Acid strong enough to lift efflorescence or rust bleed is also strong enough to etch a slab permanently if it is left too long or mixed too hot, so we test an out-of-the-way section first and tell you what will and will not come up before anything goes down across the floor. If the concrete is stained through rather than dirty on top, we say so at the quote rather than charging you to find out.
What is the difference between floor scrubbing and acid washing?
Scrubbing is mechanical: a weighted rotary machine and a pad work dirt out of the surface and we extract the slurry. Acid washing is chemical, and it is for the things scrubbing cannot shift — mineral deposits, efflorescence, rust bleed and the grey film left on new concrete. Most jobs are a scrub. Acid comes out when the floor needs it, not by default.
